Why it isn't the cheapest

You're buying a whole system, not a chatbot.

A guest chatbot alone starts around $99–150 a month elsewhere. Yalu costs more because more comes with it.

A back-office assistant, not just a guest chatbot

Kalu reviews your pipeline, drafts follow-ups and updates leads — with approval on every action. Most hotel AI stops at the guest conversation.

A staff mobile app included

Your team works the pipeline from their phones, with push alerts when a guest looks ready to book.

A real quote engine, not a rate disclaimer

We build your seasons, board basis and supplements into a calculator, so the assistant gives exact totals instead of “from” prices.

Connected to the PMS, down to the villa

The assistants check real availability and place holds in your PMS, and room allocation suggests the right villa for every booking from your own rules.

An assistant for your trade partners

Mithu runs a portal for DMCs and travel agents — onboarding, approval, the rate card and holds — so agents sell you without waiting on your inbox.

One more thing worth saying plainly: Yalu checks live availability and places courtesy holds, but it doesn't confirm a booking on its own — the guest confirms by paying through your PMS's own link, or your team confirms through Kalu. We connect to eZee today; see what's next on the roadmap.

Before you ask

The usual questions.

Can it take a booking?

It checks real availability in your PMS and places a courtesy hold for the guest — only at the exact price it quoted. The PMS then emails the guest a secure link to pay online if they want to confirm straight away. Confirmed bookings, changes and cancellations go through your team: Kalu can make them, once a person approves. We connect to eZee today; other PMSs are added through the same adapter.

What languages does it speak?

It replies in whatever language the guest writes in, and follows them if they switch mid-conversation. Visitors can also pick a language in the widget, and Yalu writes the whole reply in it. There's no fixed list to set up.

Can we talk to a guest ourselves?

Yes. The live view shows who's chatting on your website right now. Step in from the dashboard or your phone and Yalu steps aside, translating both ways. Go quiet and Yalu picks the conversation back up.

Do travel agents see our trade rates?

Only once your team has approved them. Anyone from the trade can chat with Mithu, but rates, the rate card and holds sit behind sign-in, a business document your admin reviews, and finished onboarding. Each hold a partner places needs its own emailed code.

Will it make things up about my hotel?

It answers from a knowledge base we build with you, reads your room names from your live site, and quotes prices from a calculator rather than generating them. When it doesn't know something, it says so and logs the question for your team to answer — which is how the knowledge base grows.

Does it reply to guests without us seeing?

It answers guest questions on its own — that's the point. But anything that leaves your hotel under your name, like a follow-up email, waits for a person to approve the exact text first.

What happens when a guest wants a human?

It gives them a named person and a real number, not a ticket. Your team also gets a push notification the moment the assistant spots someone who's ready to book.

How long does setup take?

Two to four weeks for most properties, covered by a one-time USD 3,000 setup fee. The work is in training the assistants on your property — the knowledge base, the rate logic and your rules — not the software.

Where does our data live?

In your own deployment. Each hotel runs on its own instance with its own database — and on Dedicated, on infrastructure that serves no one else. Nothing is shared with another property.

What are API credits?

The AI model usage behind every reply, brief and draft. It's billed on top of the plan by what your property actually uses, so a quiet month costs less than a busy one.

See it answer a question about your hotel.

Thirty minutes. We'll load a little of your own content in first, so you're watching it handle your property — not a demo script.
